JPMorgan Fixed Income Sales Pair Move To BNP

BNP Paribas has hired a pair of Scandinavian derivatives sales staffers from JPMorgan in London.

BNP Paribas has hired a pair of Scandinavian derivatives sales staffers from JPMorgan in London. Eva Axelsson and Johan Nylund will market interest rate and credit products to corporates as well as financial institutions when they start at the end of this month.

"We think there will be growth in the hybrid business for credit, equity and rates products," said Stefano Paschetto, who co-heads the European fixed income sales effort at BNP with Mark Goldman. One of the new hires replaces a staffer who left the firm, who Paschetto declined to name, and the other takes a new position.

Nylund and Axelsson will report to Paschetto and Goldman. Axelsson will focus more on Denmark, and Nylund will cover Sweden, Paschetto explained. Nylund and Axelsson referred calls to Paschetto.

Judith Miller, spokeswoman at JPMorgan, declined comment.
