JD Cronin, head of equity derivatives trading at Bank One in Chicago, which has now merged with JPMorgan, has left the firm. Thomas Kelly, spokesman in Chicago, said Cronin's departure follows the disbanding of the Bank One converts trading team as part of the merger. Other departures from the desk include Chris Sewell, managing director in convertibles trading, who headed to Zazove Associates, an Incline Village, Nev.- based converts trading shop. Chris Maher, a converts salesman, meanwhile joined CIBC World Markets and Eric Grant, a converts trader, joined Morgan Stanley (DW, 5/23).
It could not be determined whether Cronin, who could not be reached, is already en route to another firm.
