TD Securities has hired James Blue, equity derivatives trader at Bear Stearns in Tokyo, as a managing director and head of equity derivatives trading in Tokyo. Blue confirmed the move, but declined further comment. He is a replacement for Adrian Brindle, managing director, who set up the desk last year (DW, 7/21/03) and has joined Evolution Capital Management in Hawaii as ceo/coo.
Locally, Blue now reports to Paul Summerville, country head in Tokyo. Summerville did not return calls by press time. At Bear Stearns, Blue reported to Kin Sang Cheung, head of equity derivatives trading in Tokyo. Cheung did not respond to messages.
