Morgan Stanley has hired Joe Solan, executive director in equity structured products in New York, from Citigroup. At Citi, Solan was responsible for U.S. structured equity origination. Reached at Morgan Stanley, he said he started Oct. 18 and reports to Kevin Woodruff, managing director in equity structured products, declining further comment. It could not be determined if Solan's hire is a replacement or a new position.
Danielle Romero-Apsillos, a spokeswoman for Citi, said she does not know of any plans to replace Solan.
