Downgraded Greece captivates at 260bp, captures Eu7bn book
The Hellenic Republic paid a spread more akin to an emerging market credit than a eurozone sovereign for its new five year syndicated bond launched this week following the borrower’s downgrade by Standard & Poor’s from A to A- as well as recent actions on Ireland, Spain and Portugal, all of which were downgraded by one notch.
