Dramatic shift in store for 2009 loan market

New Year cheer is in short supply around the syndicated loan market, according to voters in EuroWeek’s latest poll, who predict that the problems experienced in 2008 are set to worsen. Asked how redundancies would shape the market this year, nearly four-fifths thought that a dramatic shift was taking place and that with fewer lenders the market would “change beyond recognition” in 2009.
