SingTel signs S$1bn loan as banks step up for core clients
Singapore Telecommunications signed a S$1.08bn ($713.3m) loan with seven banks on Tuesday, proving that liquidity is slowly returning to the Asian syndicated loan market. Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ, DBS Bank, Oversea Chinese Banking Corp, United Overseas Bank, Calyon, Citi and HSBC committed to the three year term loan, which was self-arranged by SingTel and closed as a club deal.
