Exxon challenges banks with $9bn PNG project loan
Banks this week submitted expressions of interest in providing funding towards ExxonMobil’s $17bn project to build a liquefied natural gas plant in Papua New Guinea. The oil major and its partners are seeking $9bn of debt finance for the project, made up of loans, bonds and export credit agency commitments.
