KLM’s forward start soars as it gets 98% rollover

KLM, part of the Air France-KLM group, became the first airline to secure a forward start loan when it signed a Eu530m deal last Friday. Such was the uptake on the two year plus one facility — only two of the borrower’s existing banks declined to join, while one new lender committed — that KLM was able to extend almost all its Eu540m loan maturing in July 2010.
