Vodacom Tanzania calls international banks to finalise $150m deal

Vodacom Tanzania is seeking to raise $60m of five year debt from international banks, becoming the latest African telecoms group to try to tap the syndicated loan market. The borrower, a subsidiary of South Africa’s Vodacom, in which Vodafone has a 65% stake, has already raised $90m from local lenders.
