Wyse departs Credit Suisse TM biz
Tom Wyse has been cut from his position as head of transition management (TM) for Asia Pacific, as the bank looks to centralise the business.
Wyse is currently on gardening leave, after leaving the bank in November last year. He was based in Sydney, with an aim to build out a Sydney-based Asian transition management business.
The bank will continue to handle its TM business through New York, London and Hong Kong, with Hong Kong as the main hub for Asia, according to a Credit Suisse spokesperson.
ICI Global sets up Hong Kong office
Qiumei Yang has been named executive vice president, head of Asia Pacific for ICI Global, which is opening an office in Hong Kong in order to focus on the Asia Pacific region.
Yang joins the trade organization for global fund managers from the Hong Kong Stock Exchange (HKEx) where she is currently head of mainland development.
Yang also worked for ten years at the China Securities Regulatory Commission (CSRC) in a variety of roles as a commissioner on the planning commission, deputy director general for the department of international affairs and deputy director general for the department of investment fund supervision. ICI Global will launch its Hong Kong operations on May 1, 2013.
Asifma hires equities MD
Nick Ronalds has joined the Asia Securities Industry & Financial Markets Association (Asifma) as managing director, equities.
He is based in Hong Kong. He joins from his position as president of RhoFinancial, a US financial services consultancy which focuses on exchange-traded products as well as markets in Asia.
Ronalds has worked for 25 years in the industry. Before heading up RhoFinancial, he was managing director of the Chicago Mercantile Exchange’s Asia office and senior vice president, global markets for exchange-traded derivatives at ABN Amro Securities.
