CreditSights, a New York-based independent fixed-income research firm, will shortly initiate coverage of the European energy and utility sector, and has hired Andrew Moulder, a utility analyst at Barclays Capital in London to lead the effort. Moulder, part of a two-strong Institutional Investor-ranked utility team, left Barclays at the beginning of May and will join CreditSights in June. Moulder could not be reached for comment. Neil Beddall, senior utility analyst at Barclays, said the U.K. bank is presently looking for a replacement for Moulder.
CreditSights presently only provides utility coverage in the U.S. through Dot Matthews, a former Deutsche Bank utility analyst. Matthews and Glenn Reynolds, head of research, did not return calls.
