Avril Pomper, a senior credit sales official at Commerzbank Corporates & Markets in London, has jumped to RBC Capital Markets to manage the Canadian Bank's European fixed-income sales business. Pomper, who is on gardening leave and was contacted on her cell phone, said she was attracted to RBC by the strength of its fixed-income business.

Pomper starts Sept. 26 and will report jointly to Jonathan Hunter, global head of liquid products, who confirmed the hire, and Walter Gontarek, global head of structured products marketing, who was traveling and could not be contacted.

She left Commerzbank after three and a half years at the firm, where she reported to Hugues De La Marnierre, head of credit sales across corporate, institutional and retail sectors. Margarita Thiel, spokeswoman for Commerzbank in London, declined comment.
