Cookson repays £110m early

Cookson, the UK building materials group, will prepay part of its £794m-equivalent loan this month following the completion of its £241m rights issue last week.

The borrower will use the proceeds from the capital raising to pay back £75m and Eu37.5m (together totalling £110m) of its two term loans. These repayments were originally due as amortisations in October 2010.
