Second amendment still on the cards for TomTom after loss

TomTom, the Dutch satnav maker, reiterated that it could need to negotiate a second amendment to its Eu1.585bn facility, after reporting a Eu37m loss for the first quarter on Wednesday.

TomTom, which took on the loan in December 2007 to back its takeover of TeleAtlas, the Dutch provider of digital map data, had already warned in February this year that was considering renegotiating the terms of its facility as it could breach covenants this year.
