Tenor no problem as EDF completes Eu4bn refi

French utility EDF has signed a Eu4bn five plus one plus one year loan, with bankers close to the deal saying that there was no pushback from lenders over the longer tenor of the facility.

The refinancing for the Aa3/A+/A+ rated firm, which carried a margin of 35bp, attracted some new lenders as well as the company’s existing relationship banks.
