Misys secures £280m loan to buy Sophis

Software and services firm Misys has obtained a £280m loan to finance its acquisition of Sophis, a provider of capital markets software.

Misys will fund the takeover with the four year facility, a five year convertible bond of roughly £100m, and proceeds from the sale of its remaining shares in healthcare firm Allscripts.
