Statnett benefits from state ownership on euro debut
Norwegian state-owned grid operator Statnett priced its debut benchmark euro corporate bond on Wednesday, opting to go longer than the 10 year tenor many of the recent utility issuers chose.
While the A2/A+ rated issuer was never going to pick as long a maturity as its French peer RTE’s 20 year deal last Friday, it had indicated to investors it planned to sell a benchmark transaction with a tenor of between 10 years and 12.5 years.
