Nigeria casts wide net with diaspora bond

Nigeria is offering around a 30bp premium at price talk for its first diaspora bond as deal watchers asked whether it will really be able to attract $300m of retail investment.

Nigeria is marketing the June 2022 at 5.75% area via international leads Bank of America Merrill Lynch and Standard Bank. First Bank of Nigeria and United Bank for Africa are acting as Nigerian joint lead managers. The deal is aimed at Nigerians living abroad.
