Intergen takes equity injection, markets $800m bond

Intergen, the US-headquartered power generator, has met European investors to market $800m-equivalent of high yield bonds in sterling and dollars. The senior secured notes are coming alongside a $700m equity injection and $500m of new loans.

The company has 11 power plants in the UK, the Netherlands, Mexico and Australia.

The new notes, rated B1/B+, are expected to be divided equally between sterling and dollars. That would make the eight year non-call four sterling tranche around £275m and the 10 year non-call five dollar ...
