Kernel in extension talks

Ukrainian grain and sunflower oil producer Kernel is in talks with its lending group to extend the $222m one year tranche of its August 2011 loan by another year.

Deutsche Bank, UniCredit and ING were the bookrunners on the deal. They were joined by mandated lead arrangers BNP Paribas, Erste, Natixis and Rabobank.

“They will definitely get the extension,” said a loans banker. “It’s probably going to be documented in the next few weeks.”
