Alchip Tech nets $196m from bigger GDS sale

Alchip Technologies, a Taiwanese semiconductor manufacturer, has raised $195.5m after increasing a placement of global depository shares (GDS).

Alchip initially looked to sell 7m Luxembourg-listed GDS, each of which represents one of its common shares that trade on the Taiwan Stock Exchange.

Sole global co-ordinator and bookrunner Credit Suisse pitched the stock to investors at $25.02 to $25.73, according to a term sheet. The range translated ...
