BoE review to plan for second corona wave

The Bank of England is working to ensure UK financial markets can cope with further strains in the case of a second wave of the Covid-19 pandemic, or a severe economic downturn.

Andrew Hauser, its executive director for markets, said that the scale of the Bank’s unprecedented interventions had highlighted the potential for markets to amplify the dash for cash that occurred in March and April.
