AIIB readies $5bn Covid-19 relief facility

The Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank has proposed creating a $5bn crisis recovery facility in response to the Covid-19 pandemic.
The Beijing-headquartered development bank will offer financing support to both public and private sector organisations that have been damaged by the virus outbreak, according to a press release from AIIB. The financing plan is scheduled to last for 18 months.
