Bank of Ireland has opened a Madrid office for its leveraged and acquisition finance business, to be headed by Beltran Paredes, the former head of Rothschild’s debt advisory business in Spain.
Paredes joined Bank of Ireland earlier this year. The bank has been a mandated lead arranger on several sponsored deals in Spain so far, including ICG’s buyout of customer relationship software provider Konecta. It was also sole arranger on the term loan ‘B’ supporting the refinancing of Investcorp
