Estonia plans sovereign cryptocurrency

Estonia plans to become the first sovereign to dip its toes into the still murky waters of cryptocurrencies.

Kaspar Korjus, managing director of Estonia’s e-Residency government programme, wrote in December, in an online post on Medium, that Estonia would launch a cryptocurrency called estcoin, although he did not say when this would happen.
