J.P Morgan Launches New Capital Structure Recs

J.P. Morgan has started a new research publication which will provide trade recommendations across asset classes. The report, titled "Capital Calls," includes strategy calls on the capital structure of a credit and incorporates actionable strategy in the cash and derivatives markets produced by equity and credit analysts.
The new research strategy follows Morgan's merging of its stock and bond research departments in March. The cross asset-class focus has been embraced at sell-side firms in light of the proliferation of hedge funds making bets across the capital structure. In a similar move, Bear Stearns recently released its corporate credit strategy publication which offers recommendations in both cash and credit default swaps across the high-grade, high-yield and emerging markets arenas. Margaret Cannella, director of corporate research for the Americas at Morgan, did not return calls seeking additional comment by press time.
