Carlo Georg, managing director and Asian head of trading at KBC Financial Products in Tokyo, is relocating to London at the end of the month in a new position covering cash and derivatives trading across asset classes for both the European and Asian markets. Korossy said the move was decided in January after KBC Derivatives and KBC Financial Products merged but it has taken until now to execute.
Since the merger there have been different heads of trading for each product line. These heads will stay in place but will report to Georg, who will report to Thomas Korossy, global head of trading in New York. Georg has spent seven years in Asia and Korossy said Georg was keen to move back to Europe. The Tokyo team will continue to report directly to him. However Korossy said the firm may hire a replacement head of Asian trading depending on Georg's workload.
