Nomura Securities International has hired Scott Rodman, former managing director in alternative risk markets group at Deutsche Bank in New York, in a senior role. Rodman referred calls to Ralph Piscitelli, Nomura spokesman in New York, who declined to comment ahead of an impending press release. Rodman left Deutsche Bank in May. He had been responsible for selling fixed income products, including derivatives, to insurers and reinsurers (DW, 5/9).
Nomura has been aggressively building both its equity and credit derivatives teams, with other recent credit hires including George O'Dowd, head of credit trading at Commerzbank Securities in New York, to head its structured credit business (DW, 7/4).
