Star Equity Salesman Exits BofA

Ian Reisner, a star performer in equity derivatives sales last year at Banc of America Securities, has left the firm's New York office to pursue a career in real estate development.

Ian Reisner, a star performer in equity derivatives sales last year at Banc of America Securities, has left the firm's New York office to pursue a career in real estate development. Comfiring his departure, Reisner said he was co-head of institutional equity derivatives sales alongside Dean Curnutt.

Most recently, Reisner reported to Mark Werner, head of debt and equities, who joined from JPMorgan in October to replace Jon Sandelman, who left to start his own hedge fund.

Sandelman is credited with building BofA's fund-linked platform, which the firm recently sold to SG Corporate & Investment Bank (DW, 1/24).

Both Sandelman and Reisner joined BofA six years ago to help build the equity business. They had come from Salomon Brothers where Sandelman served as the deputy head of global equities and managing director of equity derivatives and Reisner was v.p. in equity derivatives sales. BoA spokeswoman Melissa Fox declined comment.
