ESM urged to pre-fund in early 2013 as bankers cite demand for benchmark

The European Stability Mechanism (ESM) could be wise to begin borrowing in the capital markets even ahead of any official requests for aid from a European sovereign, SSA bankers said this week, after the bailout fund became fully operational by privately printing bonds to support the Spanish banking system, writes Tessa Wilkie.
