FSA to review UK limits, require issue pre-clearance
The Financial Services Authority is reviewing its approach to assessing covered bonds and asset encumbrance, and says that in the meantime issuers must discuss in advance all plans for covered bond issuance. The FSA today (Thursday) wrote to the British Bankers’ Association and the Building Societies Association to explain its current thinking.
