Credit Suisse First Boston has hired Krishna Memani as its corporate bond strategist, according to an analyst at the firm. Memani joins from Putnam Investments, where he was a managing director and senior portfolio manager since 1998 in the core fixed-income, core fixed-income high-yield and utilities teams.
He replaces David Goldman, who left CSFB in May to become chief fixed-income strategist at Banc of America Securities. Memani did not return calls, nor did Bill Battey, global head of corporate bond research at CSFB. Paul Quistberg, coo of fixed-income at Putnam, did not return calls asking about a possible replacement.
Prior to joining Putnam, Memani spent 12 years at Morgan Stanley, where he worked as a strategist and left as a principal at the firm. Prior to that, he was a manager at Price Waterhouse.
