MPS Finance, the investment-banking arm of Monte Dei Paschi Di Siena, is looking to add to its Siena-based securitization structuring team. Anna di Paolo, head of structuring, says she would like to make one or two new hires to help handle the growing workload. Currently, MPS has five structurers.
Until now, MPS Finance has handled securitizations from its parent company's group of banks. However, MPS Finance will be looking to originate deals for firms outside the MPS family. This expansion is part of the reason for the new hires, adds di Paolo. She says the first outside deal should be hitting the market soon, declining further comment.
