Head Of Securitization Group Calls It A Day

Dwight Jenkins has resigned from the American Securitization Forum where he was executive director.

Dwight Jenkins has resigned from the American Securitization Forum where he was executive director. Jenkins, who had been the most-senior person on the ASF staff, is planning to leave the industry and New York to move out West, according to people familiar with his plans. He could not be reached. The ASF is looking to hire a replacement for Jenkins. Jenkins' responsibilities will be assumed by George Miller, senior v.p. and deputy general counsel at the Bond Market Association, while the search is underway, according to one ASF member. The ASF is part of the Bond Market Association. Miller was out of the office and did not immediately return a call.

The ASF has a couple full-time, dedicated staffers; the rest of the organization is run by industry professionals, such as Vernon Wright of MBNA America Bank, who is chairman of the trade group, and Joe Donovan of Credit Suisse First Boston, who is treasurer of the ASF. It is unclear whether the group is looking for a replacement with structured finance experience.
