Three of ABN AMRO's derivatives marketing team in Seoul have joined rivals. Jake Koh, head of derivative sales, has jumped to Goldman Sachs in Hong Kong, while Tan Kang, derivatives marketer, has joined Credit Suisse First Boston, and Jae Kwung Lee, has gone to Samsung Investment Trust Management Co. The trio reported to S.H. Baek, treasurer in Seoul, who did not return calls. Li Koon, spokeswoman at ABN, declined comment.
Market officials said Koh is a replacement for Han Joon Kim, v.p. in fixed income, who joined JPMorgan in Seoul (DW, 2/9). Koh, who starts in the coming weeks as an executive director, now reports to Wassim Younan, managing director and head of fixed income, currencies and commodities at Goldman in Hong Kong.
Kang, who starts this week at CSFB in a similar role and reports to S.W. Park, branch manager in Seoul, could not be reached and Park did not return calls. At Samsung, J.W. Yang, head of the risk management team in Seoul, said Lee will start in the coming weeks in the risk management group.
