CSFB Fixed Income Heavyweight Quits

John Romanelli, managing director in fixed income at Credit Suisse First Boston in New York, has quit. At CSFB, Romanelli reported jointly to Jerry Wood and Jim Healy, global co-heads of fixed income. Wood declined comment and Healy didn't return calls.

Two market officials, said Romanelli left CSFB to join Bear Stearns. Other recent CSFB staffers who have defected to Bear Stearns include Mark Davies, managing director and global head of credit derivatives for developed markets, who joined as a senior managing director and global head of credit derivatives. Mark Timmis, director and head of credit derivatives trading at CSFB in London is also expected to join Bear Stearns in the coming weeks (DW, 6/16).
