Santander Central Hispano has hired Rodrigo Espirito-Santo, former senior salesman for marketing equity derivatives to hedge funds at Commerzbank Securities in New York, as a salesman in its emerging markets team, which includes derivatives.
Espirito-Santo will be an addition to the sales team, according to one official. Stephen Meskers, head of fixed income sales in New York, to whom Espirito-Santo reports, referred calls to Fernando Gomez, head of sales, trading and origination in New York, who did not return calls.
At Commerzbank, Espirito-Santo reported to Sam Gottesman, regional head of fixed income and derivatives sales at Commerzbank in New York. Gottesman said Espirito-Santo will be replaced.
