RBS Greenwich Capital has hired Andrew Weber, senior credit sutructurer at Deutsche Bank in New York, for a similar role. Weber, who was between jobs, could not be reached. Fred Matera, head of structured credit products at RBS in Greenwich, Conn., confirmed the hire.
Weber's hire comes as RBS is aggressively expanding its credit derivatives presence, according to officials. David Moffitt, credit derivatives sales staffer at Credit Suisse First Boston in New York, recently joined RBS as the firm's first credit derivatives salesman (DW, 6/6). The firm is also on the hunt for several sales and trading professionals, according to officials. Michele Agostinho, spokeswoman at Deutsche Bank in New York, declined comment on Weber's replacement.
