Barclays I-Rate Head Steps Out

Barclays Capital's Mitchell Lim, head of Hong Kong dollar interest rate trading, has recently left the firm.

Barclays Capital's Mitchell Lim, head of Hong Kong dollar interest rate trading, has recently left the firm. "He's part of the first generation of Hong Kong dollar interest rate traders and made a name for himself in the market," said a trading head at a rival firm in Hong Kong. Lim's whereabouts could not be determined by press time. He reported to Francois Jordain, global head of emerging markets rates in London. Jordain did not respond to messages.

Meanwhile, Barclays has transferred Lutfey Siddiqi, global head of fx structuring in London to Singapore, for a new role as Asia-Pacific head of corporate foreign exchange. Joanna Leong, fx marketer at National Australia Bank in Singapore, has joined the U.K. house as an executive marketing to other banks and Melanie Newell, associate director and corporate fx marketer, has transferred from London to Sydney in a similar role.
