Lehman Brothers has transferred J.S. Kim, senior v.p. in fixed income in Tokyo, to Seoul in preparation for the bank's onshore Korean derivatives launch. Kim plans to start hiring fixed income marketers and said Lehman will concentrate its effort on exotic interest rate products.
"We are on track to receive a license by December and start business immediately thereafter," said Kim. The firm is looking to start a foreign exchange, interest rate and equity derivatives trading effort onshore.
