David Crammond, Asia-Pacific head of structured credit sales at ABN AMRO in Singapore, has resurfaced at credit pricing house Markit. The firm recently launched services in Asia and hired Crammond to spearhead the effort. "There's now more regulatory pressures on accounts in Asia to provide marked to market valuations," said Crammond, ceo for Markit Asia in the Lion City. The deepening credit derivative markets and growing regulation in the region means there are growing accounting requirements for independent credit pricing, he added. He left ABN in late May (DW, 5/27).
In recent months Markit also opened a Tokyo-based office headed by Katsumi Mizutani, former head of credit products at TD Securities in Tokyo.
