The Royal Bank of Scotland has hired Peter Nowell as a director in its U.K. principal investment group, the desk responsible for repackaging and risk finance. Nowell, formerly a structured credit trader at Nordea in Copenhagen, will report to Scott Eaton, managing director and head of principal finance at RBS in London. Eaton confirmed the hire and said Nowell's role will be sourcing assets for the desk. Nowell, reached at the RBS offices in London, said he had wanted to return to the U.K. after two and a half years in Denmark. He previously worked at IXIS Corporate & Investment Bank in London.
