One of Deutsche Bank's senior structured product salesmen has left the firm. Raj Dhown, co-head of CDO origination and distribution to Europe and Asia and head of sales to the U.K. and Ireland, resigned two weeks ago. Dhown reported to Marzio Keiling, head of the institutional client group Europe, who did not return calls.
Dhown, contacted on his cell phone, cited personal reasons for his departure. He has not taken a new position. "I'm going to take time out and enjoy myself," he said.
Dhown joined Deutsche Bank in 2003 from JPMorgan, where he marketed and structured interest rate and credit derivatives for Europe. He was appointed to head Deutsche Bank's U.K., Scandinavia, Holland and Ireland fixed income, cash and derivatives marketing and then elevated last year to co-head of CDO distribution to Europe and Asia with Fritz Thomas. Thomas could not be reached for comment.Sonya Dixon, spokeswoman for Deutsche Bank in London, declined comment on a replacement for Dhown.
Dhown's departure follows a string of resignations during the past year of staff working under him. These include fixed income structured sales staffers Gohir Anwar and Robert O'Donoghue, who joined Citigroup (DW, 4/18/04).
