The Royal Bank Of Scotland in London has hired Shane Edwards, equity derivative structurer at Deutsche Bank, in a similar role. Edwards will report to Geoffroy Wallier, head of equity derivatives structuring and marketing. Wallier declined comment. Edwards, who was on gardening leave and could not be reached, is expected to surface later this month.
At Deutsche Bank, Edwards reported to Frank Copplestone, who confirmed the departure. An official close to the firm said Edwards will likely be replaced internally, but Copplestone and Anna Watson, spokeswoman, declined comment. Edwards' title at the German firm could not be determined by press time.
