Chester Kam, Asia-Pacific head of rates and credit trading at JPMorgan in Hong Kong, is leaving the firm at the end of the quarter, according to an internal announcement obtained by DW. Kam has worked at the firm for 19 years and helped build up the regional fixed income business, mainly out of Singapore until his move to Hong Kong in 2004, as the firm began concentrating more on the development of the Chinese market (DW, 9/17/04). Kam was on a business trip and could not be reached.
Kam is rumored to be relocating back to Singapore to work at a hedge fund but this could not be confirmed by press time.
