Commerzbank Corporates & Markets has hired Franck Morotti, former v.p. and exotic equity derivatives trader at TD Securities in London, as a senior fund-derivatives trader. Morotti reports to Craig Smith, head of fund-linked trading. Smith and Morotti declined comment and it could not be determined if he was hired in a new position or as a replacement.
TD closed its exotic derivatives books in London last spring (DW, 4/26) and the firm's former staffers have moved on to a range of firms. Mark Wells, former head of exotic equity trading at the firm, is set to resurface this week at Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein (DW, 1/13).
