A London-based group of derivative lawyers and in-house counsel is getting together Monday afternoon to discuss guidelines for due diligence when dealing with third-party distributors. The group first met up at the end of the year at JPMorgan (DW, 11/23). Today's congregation will take place at Allen & Overy. It is still unclear whether there is a specific aim of the meetings. "It's a way of getting greater understanding around market best-practice," said an official present at the first get-together. He estimated 90 lawyers and other officials attended last month's meeting, and a similar number is expected today. Tim Hailes, managing director and associate general counsel at JPMorgan in London, who organized the initial meeting, declined comment.
