ABN AMRO has hired Patrick Mattar as a director in equity derivative sales in London. Mattar joins in a new role focusing on equity flow products and targeting the Dutch firm's existing cash equity client-base. ABN restructured its equity business to merge cash and derivatives just over a year ago (DW, 12/03/04).
Reached at ABN, Mattar confirmed the role and said he reports to Amilcare Police, responsible for institutional equity derivative sales to Europe. Mattar, who has spent over a year out of the market, previously held roles at JPMorgan and Merrill Lynch.
