Christina Maegerlein, an equity derivative saleswoman covering Germany at JPMorgan, has left the firm, along with junior German salesman Fabian Kutt and Magdalena Saine, v.p. covering sales to the Middle East. The hedge fund sales team run by Elie Scemama is also down one staffer, following the departure of Diego Caielli. Scemama referred calls to Sarah Oppler, spokeswoman for JPMorgan, who confirmed the departures and said it is too early to comment on replacements.
Market buzz has connected Maegerlein and Kutt with posts at Lehman Brothers, which this time last year hired a trio of senior JPMorgan staffers including Juergen Bossler, head of sales for Germany (DW, 2/18). Bossler declined comment. Andrea Morresi, head of equity derivatives investor marketing, did not return a message and it could not be determined if the pair will be replaced.
Caielli is set to join Goldman Sachs as a v.p. in hedge fund sales, reporting to David Ryan, managing director in volatility flow sales. Ryan said Caielli will replace a staffer who transferred to Hong Kong.
